Hydrocarbons Minister Paula Henao and PDVSA executive Jovanny Martínez offered crude and gas investments in Houston on Wednesday to some 600 executives and investors, according to Oil & Gas Journal. They called for capital, technology, equipment and infrastructure. The meeting prepares Venezuela Energy Week, set for Caracas on February 22-25, 2027.

The U.S. Treasury on Tuesday sanctioned Bluwaves Properties Limited, a British Virgin Islands company that belonged to businessman Harry Sargeant III and held a minority stake in the oil company NABEP, El Pitazo reported. Sargeant sold that stake in early August. VPItv opened its Wednesday newscast with the sanction.
