María Corina Machado demands transparency and a legitimate Assembly for the US–Venezuela oil deal

In a video released by Vente Venezuela, María Corina Machado said the US is the main partner Venezuela needs, but that the deal with Delcy Rodríguez's government was decided without Venezuelans. According to La Nación, citing news agencies, she asked who signs, who puts up the money and who gives the guarantees.

Machado proposed a five-pillar plan: rules approved by a legitimate National Assembly, an independent hydrocarbons agency and public tenders. On VTV, by contrast, a guest called the deal historic and stressed that sanctions remain in place, though eased.
