Central bank: Venezuela's economy grew 7.14% in Q2 2026, led by oil
Venezuela's economy grew 7.14% in the second quarter of 2026 compared with the same period of 2025, EFE reported, citing Central Bank of Venezuela figures. The oil sector rose 9.1% and non-oil activity 5.79%. The central bank credited greater opening in oil, mining and electricity.
On VTV, a guest spoke of sustained growth despite the earthquake. On the opposition side, Daniel Lara Farías focused on the dollar: he said it stood at 300 bolívares in January and is now "already at 900."
