Chavismo and opposition reach next-to-last meeting of first dialogue round with no progress on CNE, TSJ or quake response

Chavismo and the opposition reach on Tuesday the next-to-last meeting of the first round of U.S.-backed dialogue without reporting progress on the key issues, EFE reported: renewing the National Electoral Council, restructuring the Supreme Court and the aftermath of the June 24 earthquakes.

On state TV, Diosdado Cabello defended the dialogue at Monday's PSUV press conference. Mario Silva, by contrast, questioned on La Hojilla a table he says was imposed by Washington. From the opposition, Patricia Poleo criticized that the table has still not met with relatives of political prisoners.
