Miami court sets September 15 hearing where Alex Saab is expected to change his plea to guilty
According to Infobae, federal Judge Kathleen M. Williams scheduled a change-of-plea hearing for Alex Saab in Miami on Tuesday, September 15, at 11:00 a.m., canceling the jury trial that had been set. Saab faces money-laundering and financial-transaction conspiracy charges, VPItv reported.
VPItv reported that Saab had pleaded not guilty on July 24, but that court documents indicate he could change his plea at this hearing. According to VPItv, Saab was deported from Venezuela in May and remains under judicial process in the United States.
