Diosdado calls emergency police meeting over a possible return by María Corina Machado

Diosdado Cabello led a Security Ministerial Council meeting with police units just as María Corina Machado's team works on her return to Venezuela, according to opposition commentator David Placeres. Per Placeres, the US Secretary of State said Washington will not block Machado's return, but did not guarantee her safety.

Vente Venezuela leader Omar González, who returned this week after nearly three years in exile, welcomed his own return while voicing reservations about the oil deal. Hours after the State Department said it wanted elections "soon" in Venezuela, President Donald Trump said the country is still not ready, VPItv reported.
