María Corina Machado prepares her return as Diosdado calls a security meeting
Diosdado Cabello, sectoral vice president and interior minister, called an emergency meeting of the Ministerial Security Council with police forces to evaluate "prevention and territorial peace plans," Prensa Latina reported. The meeting comes as opposition commentator David Placeres says María Corina Machado's return to Venezuela is imminent.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, in an interview with Sergio Novelli, that Washington will not block her return but did not guarantee her safety, according to Placeres. Vente Venezuela leader Omar González has already returned to the country after nearly three years in exile and described how he was received at the airport.
