Rodríguez–Figuera talks: two sessions with no reporters and no Machado; first cycle runs to August 12

On opposition channels, David Placeres criticized Jorge Rodríguez for calling Dinorah Figuera's delegation 'former lawmakers', while Daniel Lara Farías read the U.S. embassy statement welcoming the talks. Placeres also said Diosdado Cabello lashed out at dissident chavistas such as Iris Varela and Freddy Bernal.
