Delcy Rodríguez returns to La Guaira a month after the earthquakes; Doctors Without Borders warns 6,000 people remain on the streets
Acting President Delcy Rodríguez attended a mass in La Guaira marking one month since the June 24 double earthquake, according to state TV. Minister Francisco Garcés told La Iguana TV that more than 26,000 buildings have been assessed, and Minister Pérez Pirela said the first 200 homes have been handed over.
VPItv reported more than 5,300 dead and more than 29,000 missing, and that Doctors Without Borders warns 6,000 people remain on the streets. María Corina Machado sent a message of solidarity to the families.
