Iris Varela and Mario Silva protest at Plaza Bolívar against the August 1 dialogue with the 2015 National Assembly
Hard-line chavistas led by Mario Silva and lawmaker Iris Varela protested on Friday at Caracas's Plaza Bolívar against the August 1 dialogue between the 2015 National Assembly, led by Dinorah Figuera, and Jorge Rodríguez's group, Efecto Cocuyo reported. Varela called it 'a falsehood.' According to La Verdad, they burned U.S. and Israeli flags.
Silva avoided criticizing Delcy Rodríguez, according to Efecto Cocuyo. On the opposition side, David Placeres described it as 'the first march' against Delcy Rodríguez and highlighted that Varela called for negotiating with Henrique Capriles.
