Jorge Rodríguez: 6,461 rescued and 782 aftershocks seven days after the earthquakes

National Assembly president Jorge Rodríguez said on VTV that 782 aftershocks have been recorded since June 24 and that 6,461 people have been rescued. According to ABC News, Rodríguez put the toll on June 30 at 1,943 dead and 10,571 injured. He asked firefighters, soldiers and police whose homes were damaged to register on the Patria system to be housed in hotels.

Mario Silva broke his pause on La Hojilla to answer criticism over the collapsed buildings. On Patricia Poleo's show, experts questioned Misión Vivienda housing in Vargas and the loss of earthquake preparedness.
